I guess it’s a good thing I’m busy at work. No time to blog about my recent string of culinary disasters, complain about being on dongle-driven dial-up in my new rented room, or generally mope about my maudlin career.
Here’s fingers crossed to getting my kitchen mojo back. I killed a pair of duck legs last night by drowning them in entirely too much wine. Saturday I managed to create a half-decent red sauce with pasta and sausages, but they were bland British, not spicy Italian, so the flavour profile was lacking. I made a rather tasty sardine, lettuce and avocado pasta on Thursday, but unfortunately it was not something that should have been reheated.
In other news, I’ve discovered lettuce, and how amazingly tasty it is with a variety of things. Who knew?
